Welcome
Helping individuals, couples and families build healthier relationships with their past, themselves and others. Supporting you through life's transitions—including menopause—with warmth, curiosity and compassion.
I believe that healing happens in relationships—our relationships with ourselves, our past, our present and our future, and with the people around us. The experiences we have throughout our lives shape how we see ourselves, how we connect with others and how we respond to life's challenges. Sometimes these patterns support us; at other times they can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected or uncertain about how to move forward.
I often think of therapy as sitting together with a jigsaw. At times, life can feel as though the pieces have been scattered. Some are upside down, others seem to be missing, and it can be difficult to see the bigger picture. Therapy isn't about rushing to complete the puzzle or finding all the answers. It's about taking time to explore the pieces that are already there, discovering new ones along the way, and gradually making sense of the picture together. Even when some pieces remain missing, we can still find understanding, hope and a way.
I'm Chris, a UKCP-accredited Systemic Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working in children's social care and adult services. My experience has shown me how profoundly our relationships shape our wellbeing and how understanding those relationships can open the door to meaningful change.
When I'm not working, you'll often find me walking in the woods with my dog, Atlas. Spending time with him is a gentle reminder that relationships don't always need words. They are built through consistency, trust, curiosity and simply being present with one another - qualities I value deeply in therapy.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate and relational. I recognise that our relationships, personal histories and the wider social contexts in which we live all shape how we understand ourselves, relate to others and experience the world. Together, we'll explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping you make sense of your experiences, deepen your understanding and discover new possibilities for change.
